Work Continues in Ipperwash Beach…

On Monday May 27th, a cutting crew and several volunteers worked for most of the day cutting and clearing phragmites biomass from a section of swale in Ipperwash. Care was taken to avoid several red-winged blackbird nests, four species of frogs and native vegetation that has started to come back in the swale. Biomass was piled onto tarps and will be dried and disposed of properly. Thank you to all who came out!
