It is gratifying to know that our extensive work, along with the invaluable support of our partners in restoration, has made such a huge difference in Port Franks. We were happy to be present at the release of a clutch of snapper hatchlings, and we hope our efforts to restore their wetland habitat have a part in helping them thrive! Thanks to Hope Brock of the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority for inviting us, and for all she does to help turtles! There are eight species of turtles in Ontario, and seven of them are present in Port Franks. It is paramount that we restore and protect the precious habitat that they require.
